Proceedings against Sir J. Fenwick : manuscript, 1696.

Record of Fenwick's trial before the House of Commons for high treason in 1696. He had been involved in acts of rebellion, and to save himself he sent to King William treasonous correspondence of Lords Godolphin and Marlborough, Admiral Russell, the late James II, and others. Fenwick was found guilty because King William did not want to take on his more powerful opponents. Memo inside front cover signed "J.B.M."
